Muddy Stilettos
I wrote for Muddy Stilettos for ten months, from July 2024 to May 2025. During this period I wrote 1-2 features per week spanning a range of topics. I wrote everything from theatre, exhibition, music venue and restaurant reviews (so much fun and so much good food) to ‘top 10 child-friendly places to eat in Derbyshire’, Christmas gift guides for toddlers, hot property in Wiltshire and why to start doing cryotherapy. As first jobs go, it was certainly one of the more unusual. While the content, perhaps unsurprisingly, wasn’t exactly ‘me’, it was so exciting to be able to publish work right from the off and I learnt a huge amount from my excellent colleagues, many of whom were veteran journos.

At The Oxford Student, I was section editor for Entertainment and deputy section editor for Sport in 2022. I also co-hosted and produced a weekly radio show, Music Memoirs, on the university radio station Oxide Radio.
